Topic: Workflow / Monitor Calibration

Hello Everyone,

I am a student just now taking some interest in color grading/correction for Film and Animation. I have a decent setup in my home running for doing freelance and student work. Here is my setup:

Mac Pro (Quad 3.0Ghz, 8GB RAM, ATI Radeon 1900XT)
30” Apple Cinema Display, 21” Apple Cinema Display
42” Sharp Aquos LCD TV
Final Cut Studio 3, Avid MC

What I am wondering is what is the proper/best way to to calibrate my 2 Apple Displays and LCD TV to proper color. I will be using my 30” for the color interface, and most likely the 21” display for the scopes and preview, I’ll be using the TV for final output once the edit is on blu-ray or dvd.
I have used the Spyder calibration but I am just not sure if this is the best way for film and animation, it seems good for print.

Any advice or suggestions is appreciated!
