Hi. What BenQ monitor do you have. Here in Spain, Benq usually are ver very low qualiti monitors.
I don’t use a Broadcast monitor, I have a Eizo Coloredge. And Have a friend that owns a Hp Dreamcolor

Hola a todos. Yo uso Color desde enero de 2008. Por fin aparece gente de habla hispana.
burto, sobre el look de “million dolar baby”, yo en tu lugar intentaría analizar las caracteristicas primero de los negros, medios y altas luces y luego las posibles correcciones secundarias que se le han hecho, y una vez tengas mas o menos pillado el estilo, intentar aplicarlo a tu material
No siempre los mismos ajustes valen para todos los materiales.

Por cierto, me estoy planteando crear un foro como este pero para usuarios en castellano. Os parecería interesante?

Topic: Workflow / Reconform problem

Hi mates. I’ve been working in a short film. I send the final edition from Final Cut to Color. When I was finishing the Color work, the editor has made some changes y the edition. I’ve exported an XML file from Final Cut and used the reconform dialog in Color.
I’ve done this process a few times and always the same: Color “makes” the reconform but the timeline “crashes.
What I mean is that I see a big clip on the second video track that “fills” all the empty spaces and the playback is wrong. I don’t know If you have experienced the same problem.
Sorry for my english.
PS. this time, while I solve the problem my solution will be:
As just only shot has changed on the edit, I’ll import the clip directly in Color and will apply the same grade. Then, I’ll replace in final cut the previous rendered clip by the new one.

I’ve recently bought a new Macpro (8 cores, 4Gb RAM, Nvidia 8800GT) and an Apple Cinema Display 23”. I’ll need soon a monitor for color correction, editing, etc…
Should I buy a broadcast monitor? In this case, what would yo recommend?
Should I buy other monitor (dell, etc…) as primary monitor and use the Apple’s for color correction issues?

Hi! I’m doing a color grading of a 20” spot. When I finished all the grading, I started render and send to Final Cut. The thing is that I see all the shots very very darker (almost black) in the timeline. (sorry for my english)
Othe problem I have, is: I’ve touched the color of the sky, and I see a color flickering playing the shot. I think maybe it’s a problem with the range of colors in secondary correction, but I see the original shot and there aren’t any significant oscillations in the color. I’m new to color, just one week. Thanks anyway.
