Topic: Tips, Tricks and Tutorials / Hullfish, The Art and Technique Of Digital Color Correction i read it as well and too, i think its fantastic. in the end you have a chapter with approaches and interviews of “famous colorists”, all in all very interesting. the dvd was corrupt in my case, therefore i couldnt grab all the example movies, but, nevertheless a big tip! greets |

Topic: Tips, Tricks and Tutorials / tips! alternative control! -> another idea! hello everybody… since a couple of days i am testing a new interface. originally developed for gamers, and therefore very cheap, i bought myself a LOGITECH G13. just google to find out how it looks. for about 85 euros you get a pad with 25 free configurable buttons. you can even bind macros to the keys via a very simple driver software. it is fully compatible with osx and if you want you can bind the 25 keys 3 times -> then you would have 75 hotkey-possibilites. the good thing is: you can chose a color in which the keys should be back illuminated for each set. the illumination is very cool because then you can see the keys in complete darkness, ideally for grading. of course you don’t have a jog wheel, but you have on the right bottom side a mini joystick, which i configured to jump forward and backward and scale the timeline. my basic setings so far are: G1 to G5 -> copy grades G20 Primary room i like this surface very much, because it is cheap and functionable. and just for grading issues i don’t need a jog-wheel. if the wave finally gets out, i will buy it anyway i guess, but meanwhile… any comments!? greets |
