Topic: Tips, Tricks and Tutorials / Euphonix Color I love this surface! It makes a great difference in speed. The first day I used it.. I did my whole reel over in an afternoon. Rather then 5 or so shots painful with a mouse. This makes a big difference. Build quality is great and feels solid under my fingers. They need to add a page of settings for the RED tab.. and maybe a few other interface fixes. They did a great job out of the gate. I also carry around a small ethernet hub incase the machine im attaching to only has one port. The macpro has 2…though ack. to support you need to put the panel in the primary port. So far not regretting my decision at all! Also got it at sweetwater.com they offer a 3 payment option which made this painless. here is a few picts with my laptop setup. http://simplexitydigital.com/Simplexity/Blog/Entries/2010/2/20_Euphonix_MC_Color.html |

Topic: The art of Color / correcting for mixed hues Wanted some advice. With multiple colors in the scene and the heavy use of purple/plum color in 1/2 of this frame and the blue/green in the other half.. (Which i worked hard to get.) Would you then go back and isolate the hand and arm and re-correct the skin tones? Or would you just assume that under that lighting condition it would be tinted as well? Or is it more an artistic thing where some would always have correct skin tones to look pleasing vs. accuracy of color cast by light? Reference still: CJ Adams |
