I was wondering about the site and it’s lack of traffic. Would it be a good idea to relaunch the site in Sept/October when FCS3/ Snow Leopard drops. Get the word out to all the other forums out there, have special feature articles, Interviews with prominent Color users, interesting projects especially the RED crowd, link to finished cuts/videos, workflow stuff. Basically make this place THE place for all your Apple Color info. Get some of the members to contribute. It could be bomb..

How about it?

We have tried to get some traction for Coloruser on several occasions, but the prominent FCP/Color users and instructors out there didn’t really seem to care when we asked them about it.
So we let the site grow slowly but steadily instead and let the users interact instead of having a top down approach.

A thread like the one David Mullen has over at reduser.net would be great but it is so rare to have an industry professional do what he does. I would love if Stefan Sonnenfeld could share som tips and tricks but Color is hardly the weapon of choice for big time colorists :)

BTW. Funny that your request goes to Ola-Haldor and not the admins. It shows that thread activity is more important than a title :)

Wow, this was a surprise. I don’t know what my rank is, if we talk about experience and knowledge regarding the marvelous toolset Apple has given us, but I can for sure say I’m an enthusiastic user of Color and I’m looking forward for the next generation of Final Cut Studio, especially to see what features the next version of Color brings us.

As for the community, I don’t think it has to be hundreds of threads and answers to be a good source for knowledge. I’d rather see few, but good threads and questions to be answered than ten threads a day with new guys asking the same things.

Maybe a FAQ would be the proper way to deal with some of the problems most users encounter?

I’d like to show my interest in writing articles about my own encounters of hard nuts in certain projects, and techniques if such would be possible to publish at a later time and proper Color portal.
